cool episode, but

i will explain why this one is a little more lackluster than the others in my opinion:

this one sets up a plot and has a lot of logic. salad fingers tells us about this little boy that has been staring at him. the little boy wants to marry salad fingers so he lures him out with rusty metal and then captures him in a cage and then gives him a ring. While 'weird', it still has too much logic and is too easy to follow for me.

I feel like the others were a little more random and I enjoy that. Such as: as salad fingers cooks someone in an oven and calls them a fish, he cuts himself and passes out, having a weird dream.

This one was far too linear and based on 1 focus to be as strong as the usual salad fingers episode in my opinion.

Still, though, the atmosphere and sound and execution were still there. I enjoy salad fingers :) <3

yayy

i always like your stuff. don't change anything you are good.

Woah, thanks Dan. Means a lot coming from you, I'm a big fan of your work myself.

awesome

more awesome work from you. voice acting is brilliant hahaha

slick

reminds me much of a certain animator's work but unfortunately that animator's name evades me right now.

the movement was interesting and the lack of dialogue helped add to the mystery of it all.

there are some odd parts where some of the lines are black and definitely do not look intentional, like when he raises the binoculars, the bottom part of the guard, and so on. i am guessing your monitor is dark and you could not see these things. but of course, that is minor! wouldn't take long to fix.

good emulation

great emulation of the usual anime style. you did some tough cuts in there that "pop" and hit the audience well regarding timing and humor, so YOU get an A+. keep it coming, i enjoyed this, although i'm not much of a finalfantasy buff.

Mousekliks responds:

Thanks! It's good to know non-FF-fans enjoy this too.

right on

i always enjoyed the original. this was cool!

since you went as far to say that you've improved over the years, i can only partially agree with you because of a simple fact. you see, as a flash artist you need to take your audience into consideration. ..or else you're just making it for yourself. I have a 3.0 ghz machine with 1.5 ghz memory yet this piece experienced slow-down at certain parts. that's just irresponsible.

some really great poses in there with the hands and such. great touch with the jawas in the background for luke and all, too. haha that's great. nice job, man.

and of course, always dug the audio! we got deathstar!!

bah bah bah! tah tah tah!

good music!

while it's got room for improvement (the drawing style does not match oldschool film), it's still worth checking out.

i enjoyed the river section the best i think. haha

right on

always a fan of this series, unfortunately the punchline was a resoundingly similar one to the others. i was hoping for something less expected to happen at the end.

enjoying the new camera angles and the scenes with melee combat quite a bit! thanks for sharing this with us!

good n bad

the good:

drawn well. some of the fighting was pretty cool. some cool camera angles in there, too.

the bad:

very slow paced. how much time must we stare at the rabbit being a weenie?

the enemies look nearly identical to haunters or gengars from pokemon. teeth, color scheme and all.

when he stabs them and slashes them their blood is black, yet when he slices them in half they are ham inside and bleed red. what?

the song is annoying. something so narrative like this should not have lyrics, as it detracts from what's actually going on.

i try to answer everyone's messages but i just can't keep up - please know i love you all forever and ever and that you all are each part of the reason i do art. the tablet I use is a Wacom Intuos-3 6x8" and i use Flash MX. no platform questions please.
