you guessed it! sometimes tom wants something, so he puts temp art in a file i am going to touch up.

at times i try to stay very true to his original mockups, and this is one of those times!

Its looking great, cant wait. You should have a CC day when it comes into stores, maybe a few days before, when you hand out CC themed stuff and ofc, CC in all it glory and awesomeness (is it even a word?).

CC doesn't hit shelves, only virtual ones!! it will be available on XBLA.

a release party would be stellar, but i don't know if we'll have one. i know *I* will though, because i want to party, party.

music emil stopped including because of copyright issues. but we'll probably use some music from the game next time.

i wouldn't hold my breath for that one :( i just had 3 years of helping develop a beat-em-up.. to go do another with tom anytime soon would probably be unrealistic.

we try to stay away from sequels in general. think of it kind of like this.. if we did alien hominid 2 there'd be no dad n me in existance!

as much as we like to do sequels we are always wanting to explore new ideas rather than stay in the same universe. it's a double edged sword.

Anyway keep it up, this game looks awesome. You're artwork is so simple yet so brilliant. I don't have a 360, so unfortunatly I won't be able to play it :(, but will you realease a mini version onto Newgrounds? that would be cool.

Also, what version of flash do you use? (If you even use flash, though by the looks of this and your other development blogs you do.)

tom drawing there is meant to be poor - it's just placeholder to convey an idea. sometimes, when i am busy with other parts of the project he draws something that he can implement, and since there's a general shape there i can see it working and then tailor it for the game while he gets to keep the way he pictured it in his head pretty close to what ends up being final. it's a cool process!

i am using MX.

don't think a mini-version will be on NG.

I've been going over to the Castle Crashers Blog to watch these videos. It's pretty sweet that the new video embedding supports these.

I'm pretty damn pumped for this game. I think a ton of Xbox Live users will be surprised by this game when it finally hits. Judging by the over-world maps you guys have shown, it looks to be one of the biggest XBLA games I've seen.

it IS the biggest XBLA game! it takes a rather long time to go throughout the game. trying to go through and see what i want to polish is a very long, satisfying journey now.
